I'm Abu Taher, a doctoral researcher at the Centre for Wireless Communication, University of Oulu, Finland. I am working on making intelligent systems work at the edge, architecting the network infrastructure that will run AI-powered medical applications in next-generation hospitals.
During my master's thesis, I built an orchestration framework for deploying Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)-based medical image denoising algorithms across edge-cloud environments. My current work will extend that framework, where, together with my team, we are envisioning and implementing how medical AI applications will be orchestrated and used by stakeholders across hospital networks.
My lifelong goals are honesty, integrity, and excellence. I like to think I bring a good mix of things to my work—curiosity, humility, and a lot of enthusiasm. I'm the kind of person who'd rather ask a "silly" question than stay stuck, and I genuinely enjoy collaborating and thinking through hard problems with others.
If something here interests you, whether it's a collaboration, a question, or just a conversation, feel free to reach out by email or LinkedIn. I'm always happy to connect.
